Experiment 4
Objectives: To see if it takes more force to change the speed or direction of a moving object. Then the initial speed.
Hypothesis: The force will be greater than because if you want to change the speed then you have to put in more work.
Materials: 200 g mass, string, spring scale, cart
Procedures: 1. Set up the equipment
2. We pulled on the string 4-5 times to see what changes we could find.
3. Recorded our results.
4. Then we pulled the string in an arc direction to see the changes we could find.
5. Recorded our results.

Analyze
It takes more force to maintain it's initial speed. Because you would have to push the cart harder to get the speed to accelerate. I t takes mote force to change the direction of the cart. When you change the direction you pull harder which causes the spring scale grams to go up.
My conclusions was correct.

Experiment 3
Objective: To see if objects in motion really continue in motion unless acted upon by a external force.
Hypothesis: I think the 100gram will fall of the top.
Materials: 100g mass, ramp, cart, duck tape, card board
Procedures: 1. We put the card board on the top cart.
2. Taped two pieces of tape to the card board so it would stay together.
3. Place to 100g mass gently on the top of the card board.
4. Push the cart gently so that it hit the ramp. But always so that the mass don't come off before it hits.
5. Recorded our data
Data:
a. The mass went forward and landed on the ramp.
b. The mass went forward.
c. The mass fell backwards onto the floor.
d. The mass fell on the back wheel e. The mass fell flat to the ground.
Conclusion: The weight is knocked off of the cart. A force is acted upon. In this case the force is the ramp. Yes my hypothesis was correct. The weight did fall of the ramp.

Experiment #1 Objective: We were to see if the cart when it was at rest would remain at rest unitl we moved it.Hypothesis: I belevie that the cart will move backwards.Procedures: 1. Place the cart on the wood board. 2. Pull the borad from under the cart about four or five times.3. Record your data.Data: Observation 1 The cart moved up and then backwards.Observation 2 The cart stayed in the same position and dropped off the board. Observation 3 The cart dropped and moved forward a little bit.Observation 4 The cart moved a little side ways. Materials: Wood Board, plastic cart and table.Conclusions: The cart moved a little bit and dropped to the table when the borad was pulled from underneath. My hoypothesis was correct the cart did now back, but only when the borad was moed that the cart was able to move. Yes it follows the first law. The cart did not move when it was not touched. Until it was moved by an outside force which was the borad.

It takes more force to start an object moveing slowly then to start an object that is moving quikly. My Hypothesis was correct.
